MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

President Shane Shelton opened the meeting welcoming 26 members.

The March outing was hosted by Shane and Elisabeth Shelton.  On Saturday, March 25, we traveled to Riviers Maya in Otter Creek.  Ten members and one guest participated.  There were 5 antique cars driven.

The April outing was hosted by Jim and Velta Ships.  On Saturday, April 8, we caravanned to East End Café.  There were approximately 40 members and guests present to celebrate Jim’s Birthday.  There were 8-10 antique cars driven.

Shane has been in contact with Jeffrey and Gunner with Rock City Cruisers regarding the first Auto Rama in Little Rock.  Due to lack of interest with other clubs, the project has been abandoned for now.

Bill Newsam expressed an interest in doing a club poker run for one of our club outings meeting for dinner at the end of the short run.  Shane explained details of what is involved in a poker run.  Due to lack of interest, this idea was tabled.

The May outing will be hosted by Phil and Kennie Birch.  On Saturday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. , we will meet at The Birch’s home at 1112 McCurdy, Benton.  We will have a fish fry.  Members are welcome to bring desserts.  Bill Newsam has graciously volunteered to meet those needing assistance in finding their home.  If you need assistance, please be at Chicken Express no later than 12:45.

Lisa Ramsey presented the option of outsourcing the concession stand for the October show versus the club handling it all.  After much discussion, the club voted to handle the concessions.  Lisa will be checking on donations for the burgers and hot dogs as well as water from First Security bank.  She will also check on reserving the bank’s large grill.  There will be a sign up sheet soon for donations and workers.   We need all the volunteers we can get to make this show and the concessions work smoothly.

Food Bank:  $50

Shane Shelton,

President/Neweletter
