The Dixie Car Club met at Western Sizzlin on November 1st. President Shane Shelton welcomed 18 members and guests. Next Meeting is Wednesday December 5th at the Gene Moss Building in Tyndall Park in Benton. It will be the club Christmas party.
Old business: Cheryl Overton reported on the financials from the car show. The car show brought in $2,438.55 with the concession stand being very successful. ($835.55!!). There were several ideas and concerns expressed about the show and it was decided that those items would be the topic of discussion after the first of the year. Shane thanked everyone for their help setting up, working the show and cleaning up afterwards. A HUGE thanks to those who donated food items for the concession stand!!
Christmas Party: Please note that the Party will be Wednesday, December 5th at the Gene Moss building in Tyndall park beginning at 6:00 pm. The event will be catered by Riverside Grocery. We will enjoy fish and chicken as the main course with sides and drinks. Club members will bring desserts.
In preparation for the party, all those willing to help set up will meet at the Gene Moss building at 1:30 on Wednesday, December 5th.
If you wish to participate in the Dirty Santa game, bring a gift ($10-$15) for each person wishing to play.
The November outing will be hosted by Johnny and Lisa Ramsey. We will meet at the old Ed and Kay’s parking lot and leave at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 17th and caravan to Fisherman’s Wharf in Hot Springs.
New business: Bill Newsam asked that the club purchase two new magnetic signs and business cards to help with club recognition. The motion was made and passed for both items.

Bill Newsam will be checking with the Kiwanis club to check on items most needed for us to contribute to the Christmas toy distribution. More information coming.
