DIXIE CAR CLUB NEWSLETTER
NEXT MEETING: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2019 PLACE: WOOD FIRE GRILL, BENTON TIME: 6 P.M. DINNER / 7 P.M. MEETING
Shane Shelton opened the meeting welcoming 25 members.
The August outing was hosted by the Ramsey’s. Three people attended the outing. They changed plans and went to iHop instead of going to North Little Rock. The September outing will be hosted by Porfirio and Tanny on Saturday, September 21. We will travel to Trejo’s on the late in Hot Springs. Meet at the Goodwill parking lot on Military Rd. in Benton at 12:30 p.m.
Congratulations to the Bergagnini’s on taking 3rd place in the Saline County Fair Parade on Tuesday, September 3. The club was represented by 12 cars.
The Bryant Fall Fest Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, September 28 at Bishop Park (Senior Adult Center on Boone Rd). The show is from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Cash prizes for show winners! The parade starts at 10 a.m. For information you may contact Jon Martin at 501-519-4902.
The club is once again invited to participate inthe 3rd Thursday event in downtown Benton. CHANGE IN PARKING LOCATION. Instead of parking in front of Cleo’s, we have been asked to park in front of Urban Emage then continue on down Main Street (right at the corner of Main & South) toward the courthouse). There will be a Harley Stunt Show in front of Cleo’s this month. The date for this month’s event is th e19th. Please be there about 5:30. The event is from 6 – 9. Please contact Bill Newsam at 501-860-1359 if you are planning to come so that they can reserve an accurate number of parking spaces for us.
Friday, October 4, we will meet at the Fair Grounds at 6 p.m. to set up the car show field. More details to follow. We need as many people as possible to help set up.
Ricky Fisher will secure a small freezer box and refrigerator box for drinks and ice cream to be sold at the show. Hiland Dairy was kind enough to donate these items. Lisa still needs volunteers to help with concessions. Please contact Lisa Ramsey if you can help. Also, be sure to bring the items you signed up for to the next meeting.
