The Dixie Car Club met on June 3erd. President Shane Shelton welcomed 30 members and two guest. It was great to see many faces I haven’t seen in over a year! The new guest was Corbin Cooper who has many project cars going on and Tina Collins son who had visited with us a few times before.
The June outing will be hosted by the Shelton’s. We will meet on Saturday June 26th at 11:00. The meeting place will be the Chicken Express parking lot. We will caravan on the frontage road to Riviera Maya near the Bass Pro Shop. We should arrive around 12:00. Those not wanting to drive all the way to Benton can meet us there at 12:00.
The Ramsey’s have the July outing. It will be July 10th which is a Thursday evening, and more details will be announced at the next meeting.
I have made reservations for Third Thursday through August. This is a good event featuring local food trucks vendor, live bands, and all the local shops around the Saline County Court house are open. The next event is June 17th. When arriving just let one of the event staff know you are with the Dixie Car Club, and they will get you to a parking place. Our parking location changes for each event based what space is available. If possible, arrive between 5:00 and 5:30. The event begins at 6:00 and runs to at least 8:00.
Bill Newsam announced that after the meeting on July 1st, we would go cruise the strip like the good old days. Be sure to bring your car for the cruise, it will be fun.
