Meeting Highlights
President, Shane Shelton, opened the meeting welcoming 33 members and guests.
Cheryl Overton reported on the February outing to US Pizza in Bryant. There were 11 cars in attendance with 4 antique cars driven. We also had a couple of drop-ins during our fellowship.
Bill Newsam lost his Dixie Club magnetic sign from his car on the way to US Pizza. We did a search after departing the restaurant but was unsuccessful in finding the sign. Please keep an eye out for this sign. He traveled from Chicken Express down Hwy 5 to US Pizza.
The March outing will be hosted by Shane and Elisabeth Shelton. On Saturday, March 25, we will meet at Chicken Express in Benton at 1:00. From there, we will caravan to Rivera Maya at Otter Creek.
Guests Jeff Solliday and Gunnar Hays spoke to the club about the possibility of a big car event called an Auto-Rama. It would occur in January 2018. It would be a joint venture with 4-5 other car clubs and would provide the club with a significant financial boost. The club would provide approximately 15 volunteers and some of our cars to be put on display. After a lengthy discussion, the club expressed interest in participating in this joint venture. This would hopefully encourage growth of the club. There will be more information and discussion on this at the April meeting. Please make an effort to be at the next meeting if at all possible to give input. We would also need to make sure we have an adequate number of volunteers to make this happen.
