NEXT MEETING:

THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2019                PLACE:   WOOD FIRE BUFFET, BENTON                  TIME:    6 P.M. DINNER / 7 P.M. MEETING

President Shane Shelton welcomed 25 members.   Shane reported that he has not been able to reach the owner of Main Street Station regarding a possible cruise-in.   Shane knows Brad Jordan, the Advertising Director of the City of Benton,  and will try to make something happen through him.
The April outing was hosted by the Shipps.   They traveled to Jordan’s BBQ in Bryant.  It was well attended by 15 members with 5-6 old cars driven.
The May outing will be hosted by Bill Newsam and Shane Shelton in lieu of The Woods.  Ron and Brenda have an unforeseen family event that day.  On Saturday, May 18, we will meet at the Benton Health Center at Hwy 35 and Edison Ave at 12:00 p.m.  At 12: 30 we  caravan to Wrights Ranch House (previously the Ice House Grill) in Sheridan.   We plan to arrive at approximately 1 p.m.
David Huett sent a message via Bill Newsam that he will no longer be able to participate in club activities due to his wife’s illness.  In the past, David has stored and updated our banners.  A volunteer was needed to take over this task.   We would like to express thanks to Ricky Fisher for stepping up and taking over this responsibility.   David also coordinated the Club T-Shirts.  We will need to check to see how many T-Shirts remain.   A volunteer is needed to take over the T-Shirt ordering.
Bill Newsam reported that at Robert Vest’s last Dr. appt. he was told his heart was functioning at a very low percentage and was put on complete BR.   Last week his Dr. told him he could get up and mow his yard.   Julie is not doing well.  Please continue to keep them in your prayers.   If you able, we are asking members to keep in touch with Robert to see how we can be of assistance.
Mary Beth Wilson sent a note thanking everyone for coming to J.L.’s funeral.   Mid-South Club, Model A Club, and Dixie Car Club were all represented.   Afterwards, they had a “burn out” session in the church parking lot as they left.  That was something J.L. would have really liked.
Remember all of these mentioned above as they are all facing difficult situations.
