Next Meeting at Western Sizzlin in Benton on Thursday February 8th.
The Dixie Car Club met at Western Sizzlin on Thursday, January 4, 2018. President Shane Shelton welcomed 12 members. The club welcomed 2 new members, Chris & Rebecca McKinney. We had many members at home with the Flu bug going around strong.
Shane Shelton reported on the Christmas party. Everyone enjoyed a great night of food & fellowship. There were approximately 23 members present.
Wayne Davis opened a discussion about the club logo once again. It was decided that Wayne Davis & Bill Newsam would come back next meeting with 2 or 3 logo options & 2 or 3 shirt options. Hopefully we can get an option that works well for everyone.
Cheryl Overton announced that the paperwork has been submitted to Everette GMC for 2018 sponsorship.
Shane Shelton is checking with O’Reilly’s about a possible trophy sponsorship. They may not be as nice as the ones in the past but we might can save a few bucks.
Cheryl Overton has confirmed that our 2018 show date is October 6th.
Shane Shelton has been approached about the possibility of partnering with the food truck court in Benton to promote the club as well as the food truck court. More information to come.
It was deemed necessary to postpone the elections until February when more members are present.
