Vice President Cheryl Overton opened the meeting welcoming 31 members and guests at Wood Grill Buffet.
The November outing was this afternoon at Whole Hog Café in Bryant. It was hosted by Tina Collins. We (the Sheltons) would like apologize for not getting this information out prior to today. We have been out of state for the past week. We then returned home to no internet service.
Due to the hard work of club members who participated, the car show was a success! Revenues break downs as follows: $190 taken in as new dues, $1,170 taken in as Registration, $672.90 from concessions, and $85 from the 50/50 pot. Everything went smoothly.
The Christmas party will be held on Saturday, December 7 at 6:00 p.m. at the Gene Moss bldg. (Tyndall Park) in Benton. Riverside Grocery will be catering the event. The menu will include catfish, chicken, fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw, beans, lemonade, and ice tea. Desserts are not provided. Please bring your favorite dessert to the party. Those who can help set up and decorate, please meet at the Gene Moss bldg. at 11 a.m. Each person wanting to participate in Dirty Santa must bring a $15 gift.
The Christmas Party is in place of the December meeting.
A vote was held and passed to purchase tablets for the toy drive. We are responsible for teenage gifts. Last year we purchased 35 tablets and hope to purchase the same amount this year.
Becky Fischer thanked the club for their support at the Saline County Library Show. Even though there was rainy weather, there were approximately 17 cars in attendance.
The Benton Christmas parade is Monday, December 2 at 6:00 p.m. Anyone who would like to participate should line up on Maple Street no later than 5:30 p.m.
Sincerely,
Shane Shelton,President
