Hi All:
This is more of an update rather than a newsletter. At the October meeting the main agenda was tying up loose ends of the car show on October 5th.The show was a great success. We would like to thank all of the club members for pitching in. At first it appeared that help maybe a bit scarce but members came through when needed. The official numbers will discussed at the next meeting at Wood Grill in Benton on November 7th at 7:00. We had about 65 cars register for the show. That includes members cars that were on display only. Lisa Ramsey said that food sales went well and we turned a profit. Again all this will be disclosed at the November meeting.
Another subject of the November meeting will be final planning and updates of the clubs’ Christmas party. It will be held at the Gene Moss Building in Tyndall Park in Benton. The party will be held on Saturday December 7th. We are holding the party on a Saturday so those who have jobs can help with the preparations. This way all the work doesn’t fall on just a few. At the last meeting River Side Catering was chosen to serve catfish, chicken and other goodies. Cheryl will give us an update.
The car show and shine at the Saline Library Benton location will be this Saturday October 26th. Please contact Becky Fischer to register because space is limited. Should be free hot dogs and ice cream. No entry fees.
Dad’s Old Car Isn’t What is Use to be will take place on November 3red at the Fort Roots VA Hospital. The event is hosted by The Arkansas Pontiac Association and starts at 1:00 and ends around 3:00. Please consider attending this event as it a source of entertainment for the veteran that are patients there. We have our freedoms because the sacrifices these great people!
