The January outing will be hosted by Bill Newsam.  We will be making our annual journey to the Whippet in Prattsville on Saturday, January 19.  The group will meet at the Health Dept. at the corner of Edison Ave. and Hwy 35 between 1:00 – 1:15 p.m.  We will leave from there at 1:30 p.m.
Due to Silos meeting room not being an ideal setting, the next meeting will be at Whole Hog Cafe on Hwy 5 in Bryant on Thursday, February 7.
While last year it was recommended that our club members display their cars in a designated area without being judged, Earl Cloud made the motion that beginning at the 2019 show “NO car club members shall enter their cars for judging.  Also, any member who wants to enter their car in the members display field, may do so for the cost of $10.00 for their first car and $5.00 for each additional car.”  The motion was seconded by Chris McKinney.  The vote passed.  Therefore, beginning 2019, no car club member shall enter their car for judging.  A new discussion opened about allowing anyone who wanted to display their car, member or not, could do so at a set fee of $10.00 for the first car and $5.00 for each additional car.  This motion passed.

Earl also initiated about the method in which new cars are to be judged.  There were noted complaints at the 2018 show about newer cars competing with vintage cars.  Bill Newsam will be talking with other clubs about how they classify the newer cars and will give report at the February meeting.

Food Bank:  $35

Sincerely,

Shane Shelton, President
