Meeting Highlights
The 2020 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Little Rock that was to be held March 14 was cancelled due to the Carona Virus scare.   Next year’s parade is on schedule for 2021.
Chris McKinney reported on the February outing to the Asian Grill Buffet.   There were 12 in attendance with 6 old cars driven.  We are glad to report that our new signs were used during this outing, and none of them were lost!
Jim Shipps will be checking into the monthly car show & shine at Doc’s Pizza (formerly Larry’s Pizza) at East End.  As of now, we are not sure if and/or who will be running this event.
The March outing will be hosted by Tina Collins.  We will meet  at the Health Dept. at Edison Ave. and Hwy 35 in Benton on Saturday, March 28 at 11:45 a.m.  We will leave from there at noon.  We will have a short cruise over to All Aboard Restaurant at The Shops in Benton off I-30.
The new Club business cards have arrived and members are encouraged to distribute cards to possible new members.  If you need cards to pass out, please see Bill Newsam at the next meeting.
Recently we have had some club members  who are recovering from surgical procedures.   Wanda Price had a knee replacement.  Ron and Brenda Wood’s daughter-in-law recently had chest surgery.  Please keep these and our other members who have out with illnesses in your prayers.
Shane Shelton reported that the Arkansas Pontiac Association has amended its guidelines to include any GMC product.
Shane Shelton will be checking into an air show/car show event being held at the Saline Cty. Airport on June 6.
The downtown Benton event Third Thursday starts April 16.  The Club has an area reserved near Cleo’s furniture.   There is a request to arrive between 5:30-5:45 if possible.  This is a really nice event with food trucks, vendors and local businesses staying open until 8 p.m.
Food bank collection was $21.

Sincerely,

Shane Shelton, President
