Next meeting August 3rd 2023 at the Wood Grill in Benton.
6:00 to eat and meeting at 7:00.
First off I would like to thank Jennifer Lytchfield for filling in for me and directing last month’s meeting as well taking notes at the same time. That is not an easy task. At this time I am just getting back in the swing of things at work and at home, therefore, I am running a little behind on the letter. Since I wasn’t in attendance, I am piecing together the notes from the meeting.
The Dixie Car Club met at the Wood Grill on 7/6/2023 and Jennifer Lytchfield welcomed 30 members in attendance. That is a great number of member who came out. Thanks to all of you!
Here are some upcoming events.
Arron and Kasie Penn are going to set up a trip the Salem Dairy Bar sometime in August. Plans and details at the next meeting. Thank to them for doing this!
The food list for the concessions for the October 14th car show has been started or is getting ready to be passed around at the next meeting. Please sign up to provide items to be sold. This is one of the major money makers at the show.
September 16th The Bauxite City Counsel is having their 50 year anniversary. Maybe the club can attend and display our cars. Further information needed at this time.
July 20th is Third Thursday in Downtown Benton starting at 5:30. We usually park at the corner of Main Street and South Street. At this time the event is still scheduled to happen but maybe postponed due to heat. I will keep watch and send a messsage if it gets cancelled.
Thanks to go out to Lisa Ramsey for taking care of the T shirt orders and distribution. Bill Grey for his enthusiastic activities involving signs , club meeting door prizes, and setting up club events. Tanny and Porforio for getting name badges made.
I checked with Mike who is the manager at the Bryant O’Rielliy’s Auto Parts store. They are still planning to supply the triphies for this years car show in October. I checked with the accounting department of advertising at Ashley’s Furnture for possible show sponcership but haven’t had any responses. Please feel free to search for door prizes of sponcerships. the more the beter.
I did receive an email from Campbell Dodge about a sponsorship but that would be in conflict with Everette Buick GMC as a sponsor. To be addressed at the next meeting.
